At a young age, Ava was impressed by Dr. Jane Goodall’s dedication to conservation and her father’s compassion for animals. Out of this, she grew to love and respect all creatures and became a wildlife rehab volunteer.

Ava’s passion for ecology, biology and conservation led her to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Wildlife Ecology with a minor in both Captive Wildlife and Biology. In college, she presented her research project on small animals and porcupines at a research symposium.

Ava joined our team in August 2017 as a Veterinary Assistant where she continues to care and show her love for animals. In her spare time she enjoys camping, photography and video games. She says that her favorite movie is ‘Paulie’ because it shows the incredible bond a child can have with their pet. Ava grew up with two Shar-peis named Jake and Raja.
